1. Information We May Collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
You may provide information when you contact customer support, report a problem, submit feedback, or communicate with us. This information may include your email address, the content of your message, screenshots, device details, transaction references, and any other information you choose to provide. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for us to address your request.
1.2 Device and technical information
When necessary to operate, secure, support, or improve the Game, we or our service providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as:
- device type, model, operating system, language, region, and app version;
- IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, network type, and time zone;
- installation identifiers, app instance identifiers, and similar technical identifiers;
- game session dates, session duration, gameplay events, feature interactions, and general progress data;
- crash logs, performance data, error reports, and diagnostic information; and
- advertising identifiers or consent signals, but only if advertising or attribution services are enabled.
1.3 In-app purchases and store transactions
If the Game offers in-app purchases, transactions are processed by the applicable app store or payment platform. We do not receive your complete payment card number or bank account credentials. We may receive limited purchase information, such as the product purchased, transaction status, receipt or transaction identifier, price tier, and purchase date, when needed to provide or restore purchased content, prevent fraud, or provide support.
1.4 Information from third-party services
If the Game uses third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, attribution, cloud save, payment, or platform services, those providers may collect information under their own privacy policies and may provide us with aggregated, pseudonymous, or device-level reports.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information for the following purposes:
- to operate, deliver, maintain, and improve the Game;
- to save settings or progress where supported by the Game or platform;
- to measure performance, understand feature usage, and improve gameplay balance;
- to diagnose crashes, technical errors, security incidents, and compatibility problems;
- to respond to support requests, feedback, and legal or privacy inquiries;
- to process, verify, restore, or troubleshoot in-app purchases where applicable;
- to display, measure, and limit advertisements where advertising is enabled;
- to detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized modifications, or other prohibited activity;
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our User Agreement; and
- to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, the Developer, and others.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where laws such as the European Union General Data Protection Regulation or the United Kingdom GDPR apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: processing needed to provide the Game, purchases, or requested support.
- Legitimate interests: operating, securing, analyzing, and improving the Game, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: processing that requires your permission, such as certain advertising or tracking activities.
- Legal obligation: processing required to comply with applicable law, valid legal process, accounting obligations, or regulatory requests.
You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
4. When We Disclose Information
We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: vendors that provide hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, fraud prevention, advertising, attribution, or other technical services.
- Platform operators: app stores, operating system providers, and payment processors involved in distributing the Game or processing purchases.
- Legal and safety reasons: when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, governmental requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable legal safeguards.
- With your direction or consent: when you ask us to disclose information or otherwise authorize the disclosure.
5. Third-Party Services and SDKs
The Game may rely on services supplied by app stores, operating systems, payment processors, analytics providers, crash reporting providers, advertising providers, attribution providers, cloud services, or other technical vendors. These providers may process information on our behalf or independently under their own terms and privacy policies. The services used may vary by Game version, device, operating system, and distribution channel.
We disclose information to service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate, distribute, secure, analyze, support, monetize, or improve the Game, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
6. Advertising, Tracking, and Your Choices
If the Game displays advertisements, advertising partners may use device identifiers, IP address, app activity, approximate location, and consent signals to provide, limit, secure, measure, or personalize ads, subject to your settings and applicable law. Where required, we request consent or use platform permission mechanisms before enabling personalized advertising or cross-app tracking.
You may be able to control advertising and tracking through:
- the privacy or advertising settings on your device;
- the app tracking permission prompt on supported Apple devices;
- Google advertising controls on supported Android devices;
- an in-game consent or privacy settings screen, if provided; and
- options supplied by the relevant advertising partner.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide support, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect legal rights. Retention periods vary according to the type of information, the reason it was collected, and legal requirements. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained for longer where it can no longer reasonably identify an individual.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Game at your own risk.
9. International Data Transfers
The Developer and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections, or other legally accepted mechanisms.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; or to appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may also have the right to complain to a local data protection authority.
To submit a request, email shichuangrun@gmail.com with the subject "Cake Boy Privacy Request." Describe your request and provide enough information for us to locate relevant records. We may need to verify your identity and may deny or limit requests where permitted by law. Authorized agents may submit requests where allowed, subject to verification of their authority.
11. California and Similar U.S. State Disclosures
Some U.S. state laws require additional disclosures concerning categories of personal information, business purposes, and disclosures to third parties. The categories described in Sections 1, 2, and 4 provide a general explanation of the information the Game may process. The Developer does not intend to sell personal information for monetary payment. Depending on how third-party advertising or analytics services operate, certain processing may be treated as "sharing," "targeted advertising," or a similar regulated activity in some jurisdictions. Where applicable, users may exercise available opt-out rights through device settings, in-game controls, or by contacting us.
12. Children's Privacy
The Game is a light, casual experience, and we do not intend to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. We do not knowingly request a child's real name, address, phone number, or other direct contact information during ordinary gameplay. Where child privacy requirements apply, we use appropriate settings, consent mechanisms, and platform controls designed to comply with applicable law.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us without legally valid authorization, contact shichuangrun@gmail.com. We will review the request and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
13. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers and devices offer "Do Not Track" or similar signals. Because there is no uniform industry standard for responding to every such signal, the Game may not respond to them automatically. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid opt-out preference signal, the Developer will process that signal as required.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Game, our data practices, service providers, legal requirements, or platform rules. We will post the updated policy with a revised "Last updated" date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect. Your continued use of the Game after an update is subject to the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
